Misspelled Signs - Page 12

Vandervoot International Trading Inc., 96 Lombardy Street, Brooklyn, NY

This business is at the same location as Shun Fong Semi-Precious Scrap Metal, and this sign is located directly around the corner from Shun Fong's "BRONZ" sign . Presumably, the two outfits are one and the same. Regardless, let's hope that they scrape up enough "scrape" metal to earn a decent living. And one more thing: I assume that the name of the company, Vandervoot International Trading Inc., is misspelled, since it's located at Vandervoort Avenue.

City Glass, 256 Graham Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

I've never heard of "sweetsixting." Could that be the act of turning sweet sixteen?

Farmer Deli-Grocery, 723 Grand Street, Brooklyn, NY

Another (third) cup of coffe, please. (See here and here)

Gofront Scaffold Warehouse, 58-05 58th Avenue, Maspeth, NY

Just as I thought, there's no such word as "masonary." It should read "masonry frames."

Reliable Poly Packaging Inc., 1250 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

If their office moved around the corner to 220 Steward Avenue, then it's not just around the corner, since that street is named Stewart Avenue.

Coffee Express Restaurant Deli, 47-05 Metropolitan Avenue, Maspeth, NY

Even I miss 'em sometimes. I took this picture because I noticed the misspelling of "Philly" as "Phili." It wasn't until I transferred it and viewed it that I realized that this sign also had the word "eggs" spelled as "egss." Ah, serendipity!

Villa Sombrero Grocery & Deli, 444 Melrose Street, Brooklyn, NY

We've seen "Boar's Head" spelled "Board's Head." Here it's the similar, but still incorrect, "Board Head."

379 Jefferson Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

How the heck can you misspell the word "mail?" M-A-I-L-L?!!! Gimme a break!

Maneef Grocery, 217 Knickerbocker Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

It was bound to happen. We've seen three occurrences of "coffe" - here, here and here. Now we have the variation "cofee." Reminder: There are two fs and two es in "coffee."

Dule Complete Auto Service, 330 Linden Street, Brooklyn, NY

I like this misspelling of "foreign" even better than "foreing."
